Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the number one selling service medi-spas provide. Due to technological advances in recent years, laser hair removal has become an art of precision facilitated by a machine made by Cynosure called the Vectus. We gladly treat hair from any part of the body including private areas, and treat all skin types, from very light to dark. Darker hair is the most receptive to laser treatment, and there will be minimal results with blond, grey or white hair. An average person requires 8-12 treatments, and it is recommended they are done every 4-6 weeks.More details about laser hair removal
It is essential that you shave shortly before and only shave in between treatments, as any other method of hair removal (plucking, tweezing, waxing, depilatories, etc) will cause the treatment to be less effective.
Please arrive with the skin to be treated freshly washed, and without the application of any products, including deodorant, lotion and sun screen. Do not expose the treated areas to sunlight two weeks before and after each treatment. Areas that are exposed to the sun—preferably in small amounts—should be covered with clothing and/or sunblock to reduce risk of burning.
The Vectus uses a laser head about 1”x2” to target the pigment/melanin within the hair follicle, so treated hair must have color in order to respond. The goal is to cause death of the entire hair follicles by killing the melanin-containing cells.
You can expect approximately 25-30% of your hair to be removed with each treatment. As the hair grows back out, it will grow out in patches. This is completely normal, and the patches will become more prominent with each treatment.
